Skin Tag Removal
Skin tags (also known as achrocordons, soft fibromas or fibroepithelial polyps) are small non-cancerous skin growths that are commonly passed on through genetics. They appear as flesh colored raised bumps and are not painful, unless in an area that is rubbed with clothing or other body parts. They do not pose any threat and are harmless but need to be evaluated by a physician. Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent the occurrence of skin tags.
Here, at American Health Center we can remove skin tags with a simple excision. Depending on the size of the skin tag we use a small amount of medicine that numbs the area then we simply remove the skin tag with no down-time.
If you have a skin tag please call us at 847-255-7474 and make an appointment.
